In KDE, all App-Qube get stacked over each other when running. I am not able “pin” a program of a specific qube to the task manager, e.g I would like to have the firefox of my “personal” qube pinned to the task manager, but I cant figure out how.
When I open this firefox as only AppQube program, it’s the onlyone in the task manager, so I can:
→ right click it → “pin to task manager”
This then works, until the app qube gets rebootet. Then the shortcut is broken.
Can somebody poiint me to anything? Initially I wanted to ask this in KDE forum, but I wasn’t sure how to formulate the question there, as I think the problem is kind of qubes related, because the default stacks them the way they do and I’ve never seen that before.
I am sure this will be configurable somehow?
I use the Meta+$NUMBER shortcut extensively (before qubes, because of the stacking). This will open the apps in their, in the task manager, arranged order, like, from left to right: Terminal, Firefox, Thunderbird…
Will result in:
- Meta+1 = open Terminal
- Meta+2 = open Firefox
- Meta+3 = open Thunderbird
Now in Qubes, that doesn’t work out of the box.
Ideally, I would like to have the following arrangement:
on:
- Meta+1: open a small selector, that lets me pick one Terminal from all qubes where it is available
- Meta+2: open a small selector, that lets me pick one Firefox from all qubes where it is available
- aso…
Is there something like this already?
If not, does anybody know the terms, that I would have to ask for in the KDE forum?
