Good evening, I have kali as one of my template qubes. It errors out when i try to update it. Through trial and error, i have the packages that seem to be having issues held. about 43 packages depend on an older version of python, including a number of qubes packages (‘depends on python3 < 3.12, but 3.13 is to be installed’). is it better to manually install an older version of python3?
Thanks for the ideas!
Jeremie

Sure, as long as your use case for Kali and its AppVMs is strictly for pentesting purposes.
strictly for testing purposes, yes. downgrading python3 didn’t work. one program wanted a newer version of python3, another wants an old version. tried removing and reinstalling the template, and the template doesn’t have the kali repo or key (trying to get that installed to see if it works).
