I’ve just upgraded from whonix 16 to 17 and restarting tor browser in whonix-workstation-17 seems to work but running sudo qubes-dom0-update doesn’t work it looks like it is downloading something but the percentage jumps up and down as well as the update actually failing with the error code 1 and when I start a torbrowser for example in the anon-whonix VM, I can’t seem to be able to reach any websites and it always throws me a “The connection was reset” error. When only changing back the sys-whonix template from gateway-17 to 16 everything seems to work again.
I didn’t mention that I used sudo in whonix. I ran sudo in dom0 to update dom0. My issue is with not having access to the internet in some way after upgrading (downloading whonix 17 and replacing manually the uses for whonix 16 to 17), It seems like the problem is with whonix-gateway-17. when changing sys-whonix template to 16 instead of 17, the internet works fine but not with 17.
Hmm sorry, then my answer was wrong. That means, you use sys-whonix as netvm for dom0 and template updates also? Do you have internet access over sys-whonix in anon-whonix?
