Installers 4.1.0 up to 4.1.2 freeze on Thinkpad T14 Gen 1

I am trying to install Cubes on Thinkpad T14 Gen 1 (purchased based on Cubes HCL). It freezes after a while, while It is looking for install sources. When i get to the installer, I immediately start making the account while I wait for the installer to prepare. But then it freezes entirely. I tried 4.1.2, 4.1 and 4.1.1. All have the same issue.

CPU: Intel i5-10210U
Bios is at v1.32 and every security feature is enabled.

I am booting off of a USB-Enclosed NVMe. I use this for getting the image
sudo dd if=Qubes-R4.1.0-x86_64.iso of=/dev/sda status=progress bs=1048576 conv=fsync

May I ask, why are you trying to install 4.1 instead of the latest stable 4.2.4?

Because it has issues with xen_acpi_processor (it hangs on it). Method is to blacklist it on modprobe and rd.drivers but I get the same result as 4.1.X

Also because HCL List has it green as R4.1

It could be a hardware problem with your laptop.
Try to use some generic Linux OS and run some memory test, CPU/GPU stress test etc and see if it’ll freeze up.
