I have the messaging app Jami installed and use it in a specific Qube.
When the app starts then there is an icon that appears in XFCE’s systray.
Upon left clicking that icon then the main window of Jami disappears, if one left clicks the icon again then the main window appears again but the icon in the systray disappears.
Now, if you close the main window by clicking the x on the window bar of the main window, then you get the main window back by left clicking the icon in systray. You can also do this as many times as you want, it’s just if you double click the icon that it disappears.
I don’t know if this is a Qubes-OS bug or a Jami bug.
Jami is a Qt application and I think it uses the libqt library calls to interact with systray items if that has any significance.
As I understand it then libqt uses dbus but I haven’t found any dbus destinations to monitor for what is going on.
Anyone that knows a way to stop the icon from disappearing upon second click, or can give me pointers in debugging this problem?
EDIT1: I have XFCE running in dom0
