I am trying to reinstall Qubes OS. The older version seems to be better because it allows me to set up an IKEv2 VPN connection. With 4.3.1, I didn’t succeed at all.
In fact, I cannot install this newest version on my system — it seems there are some graphics conflicts with my Asus 302M-K motherboard. After I choose “Install Qubes…”, a black screen with a flashing “_” appears and nothing else happens.
Where can I find the older trusted version to download? I need 4.3.0, but it is no longer available on the official site.
I think this is mostly because of kernel version. Which kernel version you see on the GRUB screen when bootin? Select “kernel latest” on the GRUB screen.
I wouldn’t recommend downgrading, several things might break, but if you want to try it, all versions are here: Index of /qubes/iso/
I was excited to discover this marvellous software and have used it for a month. It was exhausting to learn and install, but I got over it. The main problem is that versions installed 4.2.4, 4.3.0, and 4.3.1 got me stuck on the image above. It can be a problem at the mainboard, but I don’t think so. Initially it worked with 4.3.0 and also with win 10. Now I have to quit and return to Windows 10 shit. Thank you, and good luck to all!See you in a few years
