I set the netvm n/a but Windows11 installation is "Downloading" updates?

Lol. I created a Windows11 StandaloneVM (HVM). In order to force windows to use a local account, and not link a microsoft account to my windows11 install, I set the netvm of the HVM to none. But now windows is “downloading” the updates apparently. Wtf? What does that even mean?

Is it during installation? It might mean that the “Installation” is being updated via the source (ISO). This might be the Microsoft terminology.

After the installation is finished, you could check the actual network preferences via ipconfig in terminal to assure that it is not connected.

Yes.

Yeah, might be. If so, quite confusing, and unnecessary. One more reason to dislike microsoft. Damn them…

Alright.
