Hello everyone.
I installed Fedora-40-xfce from the Qubes template manager, but no applications were included, and the application column in the settings says {Application missing in template}.
When I did a refresh application, I got an error code with {Dom0:refresh failed Command{qvm-sync-appmenus, Fedora-40-xfce} returned non-zero exit status 1} This is the first time I’ve seen a display like this. How can I improve it?
fedora-40 is end of life, why would you install it??
Because it existed by default in Fedora. There were other newer versions of Fedora, but I chose the Fedora-40.
What does {end of life} mean? Does that mean that it isnot getting new applications or not working properly?
Each Fedora release is maintained for roughly 13 months. After that period, the distribution enters “End‑of‑Life” (EOL): it no longer receives security updates or patches, and it’s recommended to migrate to a newer version to stay protected.
Even if it’s still in the repositories, install the 42‑xfce version. For your information, I just installed version 40 to test, and all the packages are available. Anyway, install the latest Fedora release that’s listed in the template manager, and do the same for Debian, install version 12.
Okay, I’ll try installing the Fedora42‑XFCE version for now. {For your information, I just installed version 40 to test, and all the packages are available} < Thank you very much.
