I got a new computer and installed qubes. It is giving me errors

Hi! I got a new computer and installed qubes. When I boot it hangs and gives me two error messages:
[failed] Failed ro start qubes-vm@s()e - Startqubes vm sys-whonix.
[failed] Failed to start qubes-vm@sys-firewall.services - StartQubes VM sys-firewall.

The () in the first one is some unrecognizable character. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Boot into Qubes OS with disabled qubes autostart:

And check the PCI devices attached to sys-net or sys-usb, maybe one of them is causing this issue.

Ok, I’m installing Kali on the ssd from the old computer, which is now in the new computer. When that’s done I should be able to mount the Qubes drive from Kali and edit the grub file. Does that sound like a good plan? Is there a place from which I can copy and paste the grub code? Thank you very much for your help, you guys have been great!

You don’t need to edit the GRUB file, you can edit the GRUB options directly in the GRUB menu as described in the link.
