HP Victus Gaming 16-s0001nt "No Suitable Video Mode Found"

I’m using hp victus s0001nt and i cant install qubes from usb. I tried different mirrors but it doesnt boot and it writes an “no suitable video mode found error” and its back to grub again. I thought the problem is about my hardware but i tried to booting arch and its worked. I tried to writing nomodeset and nouveau.modeset=0 but it didnt worked again. How can i solve this?

Hi lacrista - and welcome to the forum! :slight_smile:

I’m not familiar with the hardware you have, so this is an experiment:

It sound like you are familiar with GRUB and know how to change parameters … can you add:

dom0_mem=4G,max:4G dom0_max_vcpus=1 dom0_vcpus_pin=1 console=vga vga=,keep loglvl=all guest_loglvl=all noreboot=1 earlyprintk=xen

to the Xen line in GRUB - and remove quiet from the Kernel line?

I did, and its in loop on this process.
(And I forgot to tell about my hardware sorry.d)

Ryzen 7 7840hs
Rtx 4070 laptop gpu
32 gb ram

I cant switch the gpus because of hp bios.

I tried the 4.1.2 and 4.2.4 iso, but nothing has changed.

Hi lacrista

As a test, would you be wiling to try the Qubes OS 4.3 test image?

:slight_smile:

Should I change parameters while I install the 4.3?

I booted the 4.3 iso but i got this. I’ll lose my mind, I’m trying to install qubes about 5 days.
