How to reliably check if keyboard/touchpad are PS/2 internal or something similar?

OK, we have user how reported this. It has:
AT Translated Set 2 keyboard id=15 [slave keyboard (3)]

So, we expect, that pausing sys-usb should not affect keyboard input, right?
