When i go to the Settings - Advanced i see the Initial and the Max memory are both the same; 400mb and that the max is greyed out so i can not increase it and even if it was available to be increased i would not know how much it needs as a minimum to be increased to enable it to work either
You are most correct here it does indeed state; (none) however when im viewing this on the Qube Manager GUI i notice that there is an IP address listed against this qube so i got confused, i am correct in presuming that this sys-usb is just passing the internet through it because most internet connections now adays on laptops are usb adapters or something?
Just increase the initial memory. Max memory can be changed if memory balancing is enabled but since sys-usb is a HVM qube with PCI devices attached to it, it’s not recommended to enable memory balancig for it.
Increase the initial memory to some high enough value e.g. 2 GB and try to open gparted in sys-usb qube. If it’ll open successfully then you can lower the initial memory step by step to find the memory size at which gparted still can be started, then add some additional memory for a margin e.g. 50 MB.
I guess it’s just reserving this specific IP address for your qube at the time of qube creation and it’ll be used when you connect your qube to some networking qube.
In your case sys-usb is not connected to the network at all and it’s not passing any network connections anywhere.
Thats all most helpful indeed, i shall test and adjust and revert my findings, thanx
