How to do hardware stability testing on a Qubes machine?

Does anyone have advice on doing hardware stress/stability/benchmark testing on a Qubes machine? Do you think it’s possible to get meaningful results from tools from within a VM? What tools to use? Or would it necessitate some manner of dual-booting to run the tools on “bare metal”?

It would be straight-forward to dual-boot into Windows and run all the tools I’m familiar with like occt, y-cruncher, prime95. Only thing is, that’d be a significant relaxing of my current security posture, so I hate that idea.

Background: A recent bios update deleted all my hardware performance tuning. I want my old performance back, but I can’t just set it back to my old memory timings without validating they work with the new bios and Intel’s new power limits.
