How download or copy my 4gb disposable-qube-backup to computer?

1… QUBE = “debian-12-xfce”
— This is the “TemplateVM”.

2… QUBE =“dvm-usb-template”
—It’s template is “debian-12-xfce”

3… QUBE = “sys-usb”
— It’s template is “dvm-usb-template”

4… QUBE = “sys-usb-backup”
— It’s template is “debian-12-xfce”

5… QUBES “sys-usb” and “sys-usb-backup” = 4gb (EACH) (private & root combined).

6… All of my qubes are disposable except for the TemplateVM and the ‘template qubes like dvm-usb-template’.

PURPOSE: download my sys-usb-backup to my computer.

Have tried a few commands (dd, copy) but they have just hung…

Downloaded backup MUST contain all 4gb.

Command to download to lap or usb ???

did you try the Qubes OS backup tool?

thx. only seems tobackup metadata ~~ 100mb.

Am i the only qubes user who wants full backups of their qubes = hard to believe :slight_smile:

If you backup and appvm, only the apppvm storage is backuped. You may want to backup the template as well.
