How can I update Qubes OS from 4.2.4 to 4.3?

I have never done this before, this is my first time!

4.3 is still in testing.
I would not do this if I were you.

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.

@unman is correct. Since this is your first time, you should wait until there is an official announcement that 4.3 has been released (as a “stable” release, not a “testing” release). That announcement will include information about how to upgrade from 4.2 to 4.3.

When will this the release happen? Is there any time line I can hope for? I am REALLY looking forward to QWT.

You don’t need R4.3 to use the new alpha version of QWT. The installer for R4.3 runs on R4.2.4, too, producing the same working QWT.

There is currently no official release date for Qubes OS 4.3. There will be an announcement when the first release candidate (RC) is ready for testing.
