Everything I’ve needed works.

Mic works. Speakers Work. Volume keys work. NVME and SATA both work in AHCI mode. Raid fails. Bluetooth works. Multiple hard drives are supported. I’m using 2x nvme (512GB) drives for the OS and VMs and a standard platter hard drive (1TB) for backup of OS/VMs.

Thank you @MajG for your HCL report, which is online now!

Thanks Sven!

I’m glad to give back, even if in such a small way.

Since posting this HCL report, I have also ENABLED Switchable Graphics and Qubes OS also works with that ENABLED. I had to reinstall and restore my VMs. This also fixed suspend for me. Suspend wasn’t working with Nvidia GPU.

With switchable graphics enabled, I’m able to use the Intel graphics iGPU and get much better battery life.

NVidia GPU battery life: 30mins
Intel iGPU battery life: 2-3hrs

Here is an updated HCL with Switchable Graphics enabled and suspend mode working (including improved battery life).

Do the brightness keys (fn+ f11 and fn +f12) work? I have a similar machine and they bring up a popup with a brightness bar that does adjust, but it does not effect the actual brightness of the screen.

Thank you @MajG, the generated HCL report hasn’t changed since it simply enumerates certain hardware and software versions. What has changed is your report of suspend working. Could you share in this thread please what you had to do to get it working?

My brightness buttons are on F11 and and F12. Both work (brightness changes as expected) when the FN button is held down while pressing F11 or F12.

Enabling Switchable graphics in the Uefi enabled Qubes OS to use my Intel iGPU. However, I had to reinstall Qubes OS for this to take effect. After Enabling switchable graphics and reinstalling, my battery lasts much longer and suspend started working. I didn’t do anything fancy to get it to work.
