Full system backup takes me 9 hours; can it get any better?

I made the switch to Wyng, convinced by the rumor that it would become fully supported/integrated some day.

  1. backups are MUCH faster
  2. backups of backups are slower - because I am now rsyncing more data and a million files every time I backup to secondary disks
  3. restoring from backups has gone smoothly, I even used Wyng to move to a new machine (I had 1 hiccup that was easily addressed by talking to Wyng dev)
  4. my only concern is the off-chance that someone needs to restore my backups when I’m dead or disappeared it will be even more difficult than before
  5. oh, and managing disk space gets a little more complicated with versioning
