I made the switch to Wyng, convinced by the rumor that it would become fully supported/integrated some day.
- backups are MUCH faster
- backups of backups are slower - because I am now rsyncing more data and a million files every time I backup to secondary disks
- restoring from backups has gone smoothly, I even used Wyng to move to a new machine (I had 1 hiccup that was easily addressed by talking to Wyng dev)
- my only concern is the off-chance that someone needs to restore my backups when I’m dead or disappeared it will be even more difficult than before
- oh, and managing disk space gets a little more complicated with versioning
