Failed to update DOM0

Hi I’m using Qubes OS for a while now but in the past few days i encountered one issue. As i normally boot up i always check for new updates and everything is fine and up to date but 2 days ago when i was updating some templates and DOM0 the DOM0 just showed a red cross and a error that was saying that i don’t have enough space on the /boot/efi partition and that i need 2 or more MB to update, i would like to ask is there any command that would clean or delete old unneccessary files and make a space or any other way of doing so? also i have a widndows 11 so i can take some space from it and give it to the Qubes OS but i don’t have much experience with doing something like this and i would like to ask how can i do something like that. It seems that you’ve reused EFI system partition in Qubes OS installer that was previously created by Windows.
The partition is too small, only 100 MB, while by default Qubes OS installer creates EFI system partition with 512 MB size.
You can try to resize the partitions to extend the EFI System partition by shrinking other partitions using e.g. GParted LiveUSB.
Or you can go with a hack, but it could break your system:
Move the old xen.efi from EFI System partition:

sudo mv /boot/efi/EFI/qubes/xen-4.17.3.efi /boot/

Update the dom0 so the new xen.efi will be installed.
If the update succeeds then remove the old xen.efi:

sudo rm /boot/xen-4.17.3.efi

If the update fails then restore the old xen.efi:

sudo mv /boot/xen-4.17.3.efi /boot/efi/EFI/qubes/

If your system will reboot without new or old xen.efi then it won’t boot and you’ll need to boot from some other system e.g. Live OS and restore old xen.efi there.

But you’ll have to do this each time when new xen.efi will be available so it’d be better to extend the EFI System partition.

I am also unable to update dm0, without an error message. I’ve found /boot is full, and, even if I can increase its size with gparted, I wonder if it normal for Qubes Os to keep so many file versions ?

Correct… and for completeness, the parameter to change is installonly_limit=N … Reduce N to 2. Note that you may have to remove manually the oldest kernel to make some wiggle room in /boot … you do that with:
sudo qubes-dom0-update --action=remove kernel-X.Y.Z

Thx @corny, so I could find that the latest dnf.conf has N=3, I presume the rest are bakcups at different steps, ands they all have the same parameter.
I decrease it to 2.
Thx @barto, I could manually remove kernels 6.12.42, 6.12.47, 6.12.59, all of which announced 42 MB of retrieved space (though it is much more, as with these 3 commands I got ~ 390 MB back.
I also tried with 6.15.7 but I had a “no match with argument : kernel-6.15.7”, and with kernel-6.15.10 neither …? Maybe because of the retention parameter ?
I’ll see later with next kernel update.
