Endless Issues with Qubes 4.1.0, 4.0.4 on Librem 14v1

The implementation of the GNOME interface variant of LibreOffice has that issue under Qubes OS . The GENERIC (looks Motif style) or the KDE implementations do not have that issue. I simple switched to the KDE version and it works great.

The issue I have with LibreOffice isn’t that bad. It’s not a CPU hog, it’s just slow (e.g. moving from cell-to-cell or entering a value takes ~200-300 ms, which is enough lag to make it annoying and difficult to be productive in).

I used to have daily freezes as you describe (high load situations during backup or salt-based updates) with kernel 5.4 under Qubes OS R4.0 and had to stay on kernel 4.19. With Qubes OS R4.1 I am now on kernel 5.10 and have not seen any freezes yet. My laptop is a T430 with an i7-3840QM. I think it’s very possible your situation might be similar (kernel version related).

I’m using kernel 5.15.52-1.fc32.

I’ve never seen any random or abrupt shutdowns, except when I created them myself by misconfiguring qubes-shutdown-idle. Have you played with that?

I don’t make any modifications like this. My OS is essentially stock, which is why all of these issues are so confusing. I recently discovered that fedora-34 was at EOL, so I’m trying fedora-36 to see if this will help solve some of these issues. I think many of the sudden qube shutdowns may be networking-related.
