Dom0 update cube is sys-whonix in global settings. When I disable Tor at startup and then go to the Qubes Update tool and try to update dom0, it will still give a green checkmark after. This problem only exists with dom0 and not any other VMs, all the other ones get denied updates.
Any possible fix?
Edit: It’s not updating at all actually, but how do you ensure that updates go through Tor for dom0 as well?

As you discovered, the green check mark was a false positive. It wasn’t actually updating at all. See #6585.

Sounds like you already did it correctly. Simply set sys-whonix (or another network-providing qube that routes network traffic over Tor) as dom0’s UpdateVM.
