Dom0 update yesterday/new to QubesOS

Hey Guys,

first time posting on this forum. I hope I don’t miss any rules or guidelines to stick by.

I had a dom0 update yesterday but I couldn’t find anything about it on the internet. I checked the security bulletin but there is no update mentioned since 2024 iirc.
I downloaded Qubes from the official website a couple days ago, so I assumed it was relatively up to date. Are dom0 updates not as rare as I think right now? Are not all updates mentioned publicly? Is the downloadable version on the website slightly behind the most recent version of Qubes?

I am on version 4.2.4

Thank you

Hello

The ISO for installing is created at a point in time, it does not carry updates since it was created. So, it is normal to expect updates after installing.

In dom0, you can see a list of changes using sudo dnf history to see all packages operations that were done. Each line will start with a number which is an identifier for this operation. You can learn more about a line using sudo dnf history info id_number that will tell you which packages were modified, from which version to which version.

They happen pretty often. Here’s a list of recent stable dom0 package updates:

And newer ones that are currently in the testing repository, before they are stabilized:
