I am experiencing high average load in Dom0 recently. It never goes below 1.00, I have old screenshots of my desktop which shows that it is usually between 0.05 - 0.30.
The two process using the most CPU are qubesd and libvirtd which both fluctuate between 1-3% CPU usage constantly.
Data is from qubes-i3status and top. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Let me make sure I understand this. Total usage is “1.00” by that do you mean 100 percent?
if so something very interesting (and puzzling) is happening here, because in spite of the top processes only consuming 3 percent at most, something not shown is consuming huge amounts of CPU–or you have a LOT of slightly smaller processes.
No. Load is amount of processes waiting for cpu time. In short.
That’s pretty normal for Qubes OS.
My average dom0 load is 1.x as I have a weaker CPU.
Now it’s back to 0.03 - 0.30. I thought that a new update had changed the new lowest value from 0 to 1, but apparently not.
There isn’t a problem here, but I am confused about why it changed like this.
