Actually, only the files in the home directory are saved in dom0 backups.

Correct. The files on the desktop are part of the home directory, though, so they’re included in the backup. Did you mean they wouldn’t for some reason I’m missing?

I wanted to clarify that files like in /etc or /srv aren’t saved.
