Does anyone use kuhbs on a regular basis?

Well let me finish the code, then I’ll update kuhbs.com for it

You must have identified a problem that you specifically want to solve with kuhbs.

Unman did haha: - damn I can’t find his website, but on it he says sth around the lines of qubes should be more automated to be more enduser friendly or so, I THINK! its been a good few years since I read this, really not sure.

But a bunch more than those as well, see above.

And maybe kuhbs isn’t even the solution to my specific problem.

If your problem is No Such Agency, my best recommendation is to not use electronics :stuck_out_tongue:

Idk - whats the issue you personally have?

It’s just that I can’t tell because I don’t know exactly why you created kuhbs

MASSIVE OCD. I HAVE TO AUTOMATE EVERYTHING xD Don’t ask me why.

For fun to be honest. Because I’ve always done it, before that in bash (kuhbs 1 bash version).

Because Qubes is such a nice OS and I can just spin up VMs and it all works.

Because Qubes is the most easy to use yet probably most secure OS there is (maybe with OpenBSD, but properly securing that is hard and I kinda like the “fuck this we have xen jails, the end” approach. I think that approach is incomplete, and Qube’s should be internally secured - one of the reasons I wrote kuhbs too, so this can be better automated.

So users can share automation instead of tutorials.

Because I think it is so sad that only tech savy ppl can use Qubes, because they just need a gui to click “install this and that software”, and nothing in Qubes provides that. Qubes says “for lawyers, for human rights activists”, but as said above, rn it isnt, bcs usage is to complex. Kuhbs will fix that.

If dom0 was compromised, setting up my entire Qubes system was a huge hassle.

That would be a MASSIVE reason to use kuhbs, because with that it isnt.

That’s why I came up with the idea for kuhbs, which is supposed to do everything automatically with just one click.

Well two. kuhbs-net-nic is a named disposable, so you have to enter the wifi password during kuhbs create-all.

Other than that, yes, that is defintely the goal - as said above - to resetup the system daily, for the reasons described above.

Sounds good! I’ll hold tight. About how long do you think the finishing touches will take? :eyes: :hourglass_flowing_sand:

Also, I’ll reply to the questions and points of yours that I haven’t answered yet once it’s ready. Hopefully, the documentation will already clear up a lot of my questions by then. That should save us a lot of back-and-forth ping-ponging!

Its a bit more than finishing touches so I don’t want to promise anything. I’d very roughly guess a month but I really! can’t tell. Keep in mind that this needs external AI audits (I’ll post in the forum), testing from third parties (I’ll post in the forum :P) and so on. I don’t want to rush this.
