Do not use engineering sample cpu to run qubes

Unless you’re willing to buy qs(qualification sample) cpu.

I attempted to install and run my qubes os with 13900 es1(q0d8) cpu, but it seems it does support vt-x but not vt-d.

I sought out for anything i could do to enable vt-d, there was a three options : editing cpu microcode, editing kernel, and modifying bios…
Editing kernel is not a legitimate option at all, since those changes can make vulnerability and also can be reverted by updatimg dom0.
Modifying bios seems have relatively low risks, but ot requires knowledge on several domains(most important one is bios structure, said claude), and i cannot find any reference guide to follow…
And editing cpu microcode is extremely risky and requires real professional knowledge, so i cannot do this.

If you’re interested in using engineering sample cpu because of its cheap pricetag, then please consider it requires serious grinding that is not worth your time and knowledge…
