Hi, I just upgraded to 4.2.3 and have had a couple of issues I have not had before on the prior version (will post one here and another in a separate thread).
I had been running a 3 monitor setup before. A 49" samsung monitor connected to my displayport and 2 30" monitors connected via HDMI. It worked in that configuration in 4.1 but I have been having the hardest time getting the 49" monitor to work after the upgrade. It works fine on startup (although it struggles with the correct resolution, so did 4.1, so that was not surprising) and only goes to black after bootup sequence is complete. I open the display tool and no matter what I do I cannot enable it. I enable it, but the settings (resolutoin etc.) do not appear under it and asks me if I want to keep the configuration before I even hit apply (I put yes), but that does nothing to display the settings or active the monitor from the black unresponsive state. I try hitting apply as well, and that does not give me the settings, until i hit on another monitor and come back, in which case I can see the resolution etc, but the monitor is still black. I then keep the default or change the resolution to different levels and hit apply, and then the monitor goes back to being deactivated with nothing under settings. I have rinsed and repeated that multiple times.
I have also tried to lower the resolution on all the screens to see maybe if the video card was being overwhelmed with data (although that was not an an issue before) and that really did not help at all.
Anyone have any suggestions as to what might have changed in 4.2.3? The 49" monitor works fine on my other computers (I have multiple computers hooked into it for when I want to use it). It is really hard to figure out given I know the monitor is working and it appears to be interfacing with Qubes correctly more or less on startup so not a connection or monitor issue.
