Dependency Issues in Kicksecure-17 Community Testing Build (Missing Packages)

Hey @unman, I’m running into some issues with Kicksecure-17, which I use as a template for my service Qubes. After upgrading from the 3isec repository to the community testing one, Network Manager stopped working. Upon checking I noticed that even qubes-passwordless-root wasn’t installed, so I went ahead and installed it manually.

Then I tried installing qubes-core-agent-network-manager, but it turns out it depends on qubes-core-agent-networking version 4.2.41-1-deb12u1. The problem is, the installed version is 4.2.42-1-deb12u1, so it’s causing a dependency conflict. Because of this, I can’t get Network Manager up and running.

Would you mind taking a look at these dependency issues in the Kicksecure-17 community testing build? I’d love to get this sorted so I can keep using it for my service VMs.

Regards!

I’ve updated the build and will likely post it publicly in a day or so.
This is just applying a standard distromorph. I’d expect the final
community template to be somewhat more polished.

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.

Still no update to the network-manager issue. The template is currently useless for sys-net and the Kicksecure forum requires an Invite code to create an account so can’t even report the issue there. :disappointed:
