Remarks
I am happy to inform that as of today everything works.
I have Dell XPS 17 9700 but not the same as one already reported. Mine came with AX1650 WiFi.
Probably Dell understood that AX500 was bad choice and newer laptops ship with AX1650.
So to install Qubes on Dell XPS 17 you need:
- use Qubes 4.1
- if right after install WiFi will not work. You need to install newer kernel manually
- download and copy kernel to dom0 and install it from rpm
files are located in:- qubes repo
- kernel-5.10.21-1.fc32.qubes.x86_64.rpm
- kernel-qubes-vm-5.10.21-1.fc32.qubes.x86_64.rpm
- use these or newer ones
- This kernel version solves not only WiFi but also sound problem.
