Converting in dispVM regression?

For some time now, when I select multiple files in a file manager and choose to convert them in dispVm, it converts them one by one. For years it was multiple dispVMs opening in parallel, converting.

Is it something new, is it regression, can I set a number of parallel instances, or is it only me that faces the issue? Still using v4.2x

Thanks in advance

I just tested in an r4.2.4 fedora-42 qube and it processed four pdf files in parallel. I have the following package versions installed:

qubes-pdf-converter.noarch 2.1.26-1.fc42 qubes-vm-r4.2-current
qubes-core-agent-nautilus.x86_64 4.2.47-1.fc42 qubes-vm-r4.2-current

Interestingly, on same device in a debian-13-xfce qube it processed the same files in sequence.

qubes-pdf-converter/unknown,now 2.1.26-1+deb13u1 amd64
qubes-core-agent-thunar/unknown,now 4.2.47-1+deb13u1 amd64

Hahah, just add more randomness to make it more interesting. Thanks for a feedback.

Appears that the linux environment (or possibly file manager) is the key variable, with Gnome allowing for parallel conversions and XFCE in sequence. I tested again in a fedora-43-xfce qube and it converted the pdfs in sequence.
