Connect 4K Display

HI,
after successful re-installation of V 4.2.4 i connected the system by HDMI cable to my 4K TV. The PC Desktop was displayed in the left upper portion ( one quarter) of the display. I checked the settings menu of the TV but I could not get it to show the full PC desktop inside the whole TV Screen.

Does anybody knows which settings to tweak to get the desktop displayed in the 4K TV Screen ??

I really appreciate your help and advice.

Hi,

i dont have any experience with this specific issue, i am just guessing.

  1. Did it work before you did a reinstall?
  2. If it worked before: did you use the same HDMI cable?
  3. In dom0 under System Settings there is an Display application. Did you check if you can change the resolution there?

I would be very surprised if you had to change any settings on your TV directly.

thank you very much for your advice.
i tried to connect to the 4 K TV the first time. The HDMI cable seams to be OK, since it displays the desktop. However I do not have access to my 4K TV at this moment.

Ok, I checked the Display Settings.
I try another TV, since I am on vacation, right now. In the Display settings I select the TV as a Display and could chose from the resolution tab the FULL HD (1920 x 1080). It uses the whole size of the Display. I have to wait until I am back from my trip.
