Cannot Create new thin volum

I was backing up vms to a vm which I added space to. It ran out of space. Can reboot to qubes but only dom0 runs. All the others have this “thin volume” message.

Already deleted the vm but it doesnt free space. Went through some other commands like lvmreduce, lvs and some others. Lots of posts with lots of different commands and none of it is working.

What is the quickest way to annihilate this old vm and recover the space?

Additional info-
Logical volume still exists but is about 1/3 size after lvreduce.

Issue resolved. I needed to remove the volume files. In my case I chose to lose data because no vms would start. I did not have to reboot qubes for space recovery to take effect.
