Please answer that i really need help on that because all my pcs are banned and you are shadow banned from reddit if you create an account for reddit.com using tails

You definitely can’t use tails/tor, even mullvad seems to be a no-go. If you’re using it for local stuff public wifi may be your best bet. Otherwise you’re looking at residential proxies, or possibly niche IPs like i2p exits, or mixnets that may not be flagged yet by reddit
If anyone has first hand experience getting this working I would love to hear it. I’m still testing, but so far all I have to show for it is 9 shadowbanned accounts

This is issue of sites having hidden rules to decrease botting. First off you must use a clean ip. There are several companies which are assessing ip’s “behavior” you can search for those companies. Two especially on creation every site uses multiple techniques to asses the potential rating of a new account. If they can’t track your mouse movements well it might raise suspicion. If they see you using privacy respecting browser it will raise suspicion. And etc. There are ways around it. First off check your ip rating. Secondly get an anti-detect browser and try to be as unique as possible. Thirdly you must avoid creating usernames which appears to be way too random. Fourthly the email provider you chose to register with matters a lot. If your email provider is way too new or has bad reputation or isn’t whitelisted it will automatically dump your newly created account into the trash

I managed to create accounts on other platforms. Sadly I can’t say the exact details of how I did it. It otherwise will be patched. What you are trying to deal with is the reason why industry as large as billions of dollars exists. It’s called web scraping. There are other ones which adjacent to it. They concern themselves with botting accounts. Or with spamming and etc

I will share a trick for making accounts - the RedReader android app (waydroid compatible) is whitelisted due to accessibility reasons. You can even make an account over tor with it, although that does not exempt you from being shadowbanned.

Reddit is not a good platform if you want anonymity.
Same thing with X, it might be one of the most free speech platforms on clearnet, but only if you are not anonymous.
And free speech without anonymity is not free speech.
The only solution I see is to use darknet. onion hidden services that allow anonymous users and doesn’t censor anyone.

this gets really tricky on platforms which allow selective algorithmic amplification of speech and do not distinguish between human speech and machine speech. in a machine dominated world, free speech absolutism may mean the end of human speech. so I tend to think creating human only spaces is a prerequisite for free speech, especially if anonymity is possible. thankfully this is not an issue with the discourse forum, but may be with reddit, dunno…

Your reasoning is flawed. Allowing AI to speak doesn’t mean disallowing humans to speak. So what it’s really about is diallowing AI usage. And in that case you are clearly wrong and it’s not even debateable when laid out clearly to choose what is more important:
- deanonymize users to remove AI from the platform
- protect human right by giving them anonymity to have true free speech.
#1 is not a human right but #2 is.
You will always be wrong if you say something that is not a human right is more important than something that’s a human right.
And not everyone minds having AI on the platform anyway.
And I don’t know why you think Discourse isn’t a problem?
Discourse requires email, that’s already game over for anonymity.
And it’s also possible to write a custom discourse plugin that injects JS into the forum pages. That can track mouse movement and send it to the backend for fingerprinting. (I am not experienced with Discourse so I asked an AI if it’s possible)

I don’t want to hijack the thread, so I’ll be brief and not argue the point. Firstly it’s not possible to conclude an argument is “clearly wrong” if one has not understood the argument. Second, there is a distinction between speaking and speech. I was speaking to the latter, not the former. I agree that, in general, AI speaking does not disallow human speaking, but that wasn’t my point. My point is that algorithmic amplification of all speech will, in the extreme case, cause human speaking to become essentially unheard. Free speech cannot exist in any real sense a platform that amplifies speaking and tilts speech in favor of machines as a result. Discourse does not fall prey because there is no algorithmic amplification mechanism on the Discourse platform.
Anyone genuinely interested in this tangent should spend time on Herbert Simon’s brilliant insight into the scarcity of attention. And then consider how attention scarcity relates to free speech some 50 years on.

Today I managed to create reddit account. I just used plain firefox with no addons and with random window size. I used a free proxy as a final proxy which reddit saw. I checked it’s rating on scamanalytics and it was bellow 10/100. So you apparently don’t need resedential proxy. Just ip address with good enough reputation
