Cacher - allow cacher to be used for dom0 updates

I am confused. Was it ever possible? What’s the point of backends_qubes file and Remap-qubes: http://fake.qubes ; file:backends_qubes line in acng.conf?

It is possible, but pointless, since the packages wont be useable anywhere else.

Ask the person who created those entries.

Well, it looks people often reinstall Qubes, and while updating mechanism is already slow, doing it over tor is additional overhead.

Nevertheless, I installed cacher from the scratch following your notes and procedure, and set it up to work for all the templates and over qrexec for other qubes too.

But somehow, I tottaly forgot how to set dom0 to receive updates via cacher and I’m getting usual errors:
Errors during downloading metadata for repository ‘qubes-dom0-current’:

  - Curl error (6):
Couldn't resolve host name for
http://HTTPS///yum.qubes-os.org/r4.1/current/dom0/fc32/repodata/repomd.xml.metalink

[Could not resolve host: HTTPS]

Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'qubes-dom0-current':

Cannot prepare internal mirrorlist:

Curl error (6): Couldn't resolve host name for

… and cannot find nor here, nor on github how to set it. Can you please remind me?

I usually don’t expect answers on rethoric question.
