Boot Selection Screen - (qubes.skip_autostart)

trying to get usb keyboard working at the boot selection menu. it won’t allow the

option to switch over to grub command line to enter “qubes.skip_autostart”

So your issue starts pre-qubesos, and is therefore an issue you have with grub.

What would be interesting, is if you can still access and navigate in your uefi.

From the posts that I read about similar issues its probably a silly uefi setting.

Another route could be to edit /etc/default/grub, add your cmdline parameter and regenerate grub.

I like your idea. I will try UEFI versus legacy boot to check for difference.

I like the spirit
But meant, that you check if the issue already manifests even a layer below grub.
If your system supports it, try to safe your uefi settings and then give them a reset.

It is a UEFI board yes, but there are options to boot UEFI or legacy. UEFI doesn’t

allow for any keyboard input at all. Legacy not sure.

All UEFI boards tried offer only a legacy boot, but at the startup menu, the keyboard doesn’t work at all.

The UEFI boards are the only ones you can even get to the boot menu on. Legacy boards don’t even present a boot menu; the USB functionality is limited for some reason.
