Let’s start with the basics - I launch Peek (debian 13) and record an appVM window. The recording is running and everything seems fine, but in Peek there’s just a black screen - I can’t see what I’m recording. Same issue with other recorders.
How to fix it? Install Peek in dom0 or other solutions? I couldn’t find a guide on this topic.
Help please!

Your AppVM most likely have only CPU, so you need to use CPU rendering (with all limits of that).
While in AppVM you may record window or app but not entire screen.
In Standalone virtualization you have option to record entire screen.
For reasonable performance in rendering you should passthrough second gpu to Qube that handle rendering (read about gaming and HVM, technically it’s same idea).
Wow. That sounds complicated just to remove a black screen from the app. I hope in the next version of Qubes it will be fix. So, in a standalone VM there won’t be this problem and I will be able to work there like in regular Linux?
it’s not a bug, it’s a feature
In same meaning Standalone qube work more as regular linux installation, compare to AppVM based on template.
