Best way to install S/MIME certificate - like split-gpg?

Hi everywone,

i set up split-gpg and it still works fine on Qubes.
But now i have a S/MIME certificate from the email provider and i want to install it in
addition to the gpg keys to encrypt email.

What is the best way to do so in Qubes? Is there any way to protect the secret key in the certificate like the split-gpg technique does?
