So, I can’t find an exact pattern to this but often when i sit down at my computer when its been awhile (half day, overnight) one of my appvms has started up? It is the same appvm everytime but I can’t figure out why it is starting itself up not to mention how its starting itself up? Any advice on where to look or what it might be would be suuuper appreciated.

Check the journalctl in dom0, maybe some qrexec started your qube.

A little more information would have been useful.
Check what applications you have installed in to that qube, and how they
are configured, as compared to other qubes using the same template.
Think about how you have configured that qube within Qubes - is it
using qrexec (or is the target of qrexec calls) in any way?
If you want to trouble shoot this yourself, then look in the logs of the
running qube, using journalctl -b to see what services are starting
up.
Check in dom0 for anything relevant in logs under /var/log/qubes
relating to that qube.
