I used to see two volume controls in the audio widget: one for audio input and another for audio output. Now I only see the output.
This is on a laptop with the same headphones. Booting from another OS works just fine and the mic is detected.
Looking into pavucontrol, it shows no internal microphone:

### Qubes OS release
R4.1
### Brief summary
Two weeks ago (june ~8th) my mi… crophone sopped showing up in pavucontrol and its widget. I'm on a dell xps13 and I just booted into manjaro linux and it worked just fine. So it's definitely something Qubes-related. Before it used to work perfectly.
I'm talking here about a 3.5mm jack microphone (part of the headphones).
### Steps to reproduce
No idea. I just know the time around which it stopped working.
### Expected behavior
Microphone to show up in pavucontrol and when I attach it to a VM it actually passes sound to the VM.
### Actual behavior
In the pulseaudio widget I only see the volume bar, whereas some weeks ago I saw two: one for the sound output and one for the sound input.

And pavucontrol no longer shows an internal mic. Only the monitor one.

try choosing another channel on your audio settings, then revert back.

It worked. Massive thank you! I changed it to analog stereo duplex
yeah any problem with audio / video stream keep loading, changing to another channel should fix the problem, still happen on up to date 4.2 / latest fedora on modern device i think.
