Adding second drive to system disables existing QubueOS wifi connection

Just bought an Firebat A6 mini pc. It came with a Windows SSD drive. I’ve never booted from that just immediately removed it and installed a new 1TB SSD drive and installed Qubes.

I decided to add the put the original SSD drive in the second slot to goof off with dual booting from BIOS. It can boot from either drive (though I’ve never installed windows… just wanted to see if it would boot). However, when I boot into Qubes with the other SSD installed, Qubues doesn’t see wifi and the network is not connected. Is there some security configuration thing that would cause that? … I feel like it’s a hardware issue because the extra SSD is installed covering the wifi adapter… I can remove the extra drive and Qubes boots with wifi working as it should.

For grins and giggles, I removed the windows SSD altogether and moved the Qubes SSD to the second slot (covering the wifi adaptor)… The Qubes would present some error and not boot. Would that be expected behavior?
