I found one step was missing in instructions of the section "Start Windows VM" of the official document. I clicked Settings before switching to the “Advanced” tab.
The insertion is marked by italic letters.
- Select the new qube, in this example “WindowsNew”.
- Click “Settings”.
- Switch to the “Advanced” tab.
- Click “Boot qube from DISC or block device”:
- …
I also found some differences in the installation of windows-template and windows-standalone. I do not know how those minor-looking differences mean.
But, Qube Manager complains connection to sys-net while I tried windows-template. This prevented off-line installation of windows11 in the windows-template (to be). I guess the concept is not in installing windows11 in the application qube derived from the empty windows-template.
I am satisfied with windows11-standalone qube. Indeed, I just use Amazon Kindle Reader. (I am aware windows11-template has the potential as the emulator of various combinations of applications in windows11 environment.) I am only used to programming in unix environments so use of Windows11 is limited. (I try to use windows to mean plural form of a window opening in X, wayland and so on, while use windows11 to mean a particular operating system.)
