I very recently installed Qubes 4.2.3 and have it running, but I need some help with the proper way to tweak it to my personal preferences.

I would like to exchange the CapsLock and Control key locations as I have had the Control key to the left of the Englis ‘A’ key for decades. Normally, I add the XkbOption value of “ctrl:swapcaps” to the /etc/default/keyboard file. I’ve done this to the debian-12 template that I use for my personal app, but it does not seem to take effect, even though I’ve restarted/rebooted. The keyboard file does not appear in the dom0 /etc/default directory. And yes, I’ve checked to insure I’m running debian-12 in my personal VM.

I would like to add several fonts to Xfce. Should I add them to the dom0 or application templates, or both? I would like the fonts to be used across the GUI, not just in some apps.
Thanks in advance.
