my thinkpad laptop has 3k screen. so whan I set the resolution to 3072x1920 Everything looked small so I changed the global scale to 300%. The dom0 menus grew and looked good but in VMs everything remained small so I went into the VMs terminal and edited the file
i edit the: nano ~/.Xresources file
i Add the line: Xft.dpi: 300
Now everything looks big and beautiful.
But there is a problem.
When I set the resolution to 1280x800, Firefox looked bad but would play a YouTube smoothly with only 7 frame drops. now in 3072x1920 (and Xft.dpi: 300) play youtube, Dailymotion,vimeo videos very bad. (with 200 frame drops!)
how to fix it?
edit: also Firefox is laggy When you scroll through a site with images. So it seems the problem here is that Firefox has a problem with media in general.
