Thanks for notes, might be useful!

What error messages and/or symptoms will the user face otherwise?

I believe adding the x2apic=false boot parameter is currently required for all more recent AMD Ryzen systems (6000 and 7000 series?).

For the Qubes installer, once the install option is selected (and if verbose install is selected), the boot process will hang at “Reached Target Basic System” and perpetually throw more errors similar to “nvme nvme7: I/O 180 QID 8 timeout, completion polled” every minute or so.

Once Qubes is successfully installed with x2apic=false but booted without x2apic=false, the system will similarly hang post-GRUB but pre-LUKS decryption password prompt.

Note that the 7735HS CPU is basically a rebadged 6000-series CPU, which seem to have success with the x2apic=false workaround. I have noted some users tried to install Qubes onto proper 7000-series Phoenix APU systems (e.g. 7940HS) but were not successful despite using the x2apic=false parameter.
